James Long
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2007 with an MA in Menswear and Accessories, James Long has fast become one of the most sought after new menswear talents in London. With a huge fan base ranging from Alister Mackie: Creative Director of Another Man, Luke Day: Fashion Director of GQ Style, and Lanvin’s Lucas Ossendriver praising James as their ‘favourite young designer,’ James has certainly made his mark as the Menswear designer to watch.
Since debuting in February 2007 at London Fashion Week’s MAN show, the TOPMAN Fashion East initiative that supports new talent- a show that “introduced London Menswear to a new level of refinement,” according to Dazed and Confused. Since these early days James has gone on to become the NEW GEN-MEN favourite, winning it’s first ever award, as well as glowing reviews from Style.com and Tim Blanks, thus cementing James Long “. . . as the one to watch.”
His latest projects include creatively consulting for leather designer Jitrois as well as creating a series of limited edition accessories for London institution Browns, and limited edition T-Shirts for concept store Colette in Paris.
It is his instantly recognizable use of leather, print and denim and hardwearing utility wear that is key to the James Long aesthetic. Whilst working closely with Stylist Bryan McMahon, James Long has become one of the hottest tickets at LFW.

James Long Wins Fashion Forward Award
Revered British Designer James Long has been awarded the prestigious Fashion Forward scheme award.
Established 6 years ago, this British Fashion Council initiative was set up to promote emerging design talent and provide funding to talented emerging British designers to show and develop their businesses in
London.
James is delighted to have been given this award. Previous winners include Christopher Kane, Erdem, Giles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders, Louise Goldin, Marios Schwab, Richard Nicoll, Roksanda Illincic and Sinha-Stanic.
